Suter’s impeccable organ playing and musicianship were certainly the highlight of the evening. The “Suite Pour Orgue, Op. 5” (1933), which consists of a prelude, sicilienne and toccata, was played with such virtuosity it seemed an effortless task. The contrasting colors and subtle harmonies of Duruflé were evident in the suite and Suter brought out these musical aspects with perfection and ease.
